American actor Carlos Bernard was born Carlos Bernard Papierski on October 12, 1962, in Evanston, Illinois, and was raised in Chicago. Carlos graduated from New Trier High School, attended Illinois State University, and received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory theatre in San Francisco. Carlos is best known for his role as Tony Almeida in the crime drama series "24," and he has guest starred on the television shows "Walker, Texas Ranger," "Silk Stalkings" and "Babylon 5." He also had roles in the films "Mars and Beyond," "The Colonel's Last Flight" and "Vegas, City of Dreams." Carlos is married to actress Sharisse Baker, and they have a daughter Natalie. On June 15, 2006, Carlos, a Cubs fan, threw out the first pitch and sang 'Take Me Out To The Ball Game' at Wrigley Field.
