President Snow Lays Down the Law in New 'Hunger Games' Clip
Even a sense of hope requires a (corrupt) political system of checks and balances.
President Snow (Donald Sutherland) discusses the darker side of public relations with Head Gamemaker Seneca Crane (Wes Bentley) in this new clip from "The Hunger Games," which premiered as an IGN exclusive.
Snow reveals how he keeps the citizens of Panem in line with his thoughts on the power of hope over fear -- and how each feeling needs to be strictly controlled in order for him to stay on top. Crane, like a good minion, scowls and nods.
Fans will notice that this scene doesn't appear in the book, thou...

A brand new "Hunger Games" clip has been sent down from The Capitol, and Oh My Katniss is it a great one.
Those who've read Suzanne Collins' book to prepare for the Games know exactly which scene this is, but for the uninitiated, it's a moment when Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) must show off her skills to the Hunger Games' organizers (The Gamemakers) in the hopes of getting high marks and hopefully some sponsorship opportunities in the Arena.
Seneca Crane (Wes Bentley) and the rest of the Gamemakers lot have already seen twenty-something tributes by this point, though, so they don't even no...

"Harry Potter" has decades-long Potterheads and "Twilight" its hardcore Twihards, so it's only natural that the vocal "Hunger Games" followers would end up with their own nickname now that the first movie's release is less than nine months away.
