Will Arnett & Jason Bateman: A Bromance Is Born
We love a good bromance.
And a new one just cropped up Thursday while Will Arnett and Jason Bateman were promoting the return of their series, Arrest Development.
The funny men were photographed holding hands while they strolled through the streets of New York.
The PDA duo also handed out some frozen bananas with nuts from Bluth’s Original Frozen Banana Stand in Times Square. And of course they flooded Twitter with crazy puns.
On Wednesday Jason tweeted, “Perfect weather for banana grabbing, lunch time in Times Square tomorrow”
And, right before their photo opp, Will wrote, “@batemanja...

'Arrested Development' Cast Talks New Netflix Episodes At TCA
The Television Critics Association waited all week for the Arrested Development panel held by Netflix. In fact, they’ve been waiting six years since the Fox series was cancelled. The major rumor was the cast would reunite for a movie, but Netflix is putting on a 14 episode season of episodes. The difference is each episode will focus on one member of the Bluth family. That was the only way they could get the entire cast back.
“They have other commitments, they’re on other shows, they have other contractual obligations,” series creator Mitch Hurwitz explained. “Their lives have gone on so i...

Production Begins On New Season Of 'Arrested Development'
After a six-year hiatus, the cast of "Arrested Development" has started working on a new season. The series aired on FOX from 2003 to 2006, and the new season will be available on Netflix next year.
Critics loved the series, which became a cult hit, but it never drew a large audience and barely got approved for its second and third seasons. To fans' delight, last year executives announced the dysfunctional Bluth family would be back to start filming 10 new episodes.
On Tuesday, Jason Bateman posted a photo on Twitter with the caption, "First day. Away we go..." He also posted a photo of h...

Notes From Tribeca: Come And Get 'Mansome' With Jason Bateman, Will Arnett And Morgan Spurlock
I don’t know why documentaries always have to be so serious. Thank god for Morgan Spurlock. The man who brought us Super Size Me and Freakonomics is back with perhaps his funniest path to discovery yet. Mansome is exactly what it sounds like—an education course in male pampering and grooming.
Anchored by Arrested Development’s Jason Bateman and Will Arnett, Spurlock takes us through the different facets of prettying up in the new century. From waxing to moustaches, we get differing perspectives of male hair from today’s leading experts and celebrities such as Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis...

Review: 'The Change-Up' Radically Defines The Phrase 'Be Careful What You Wish For'
Whether a co-worker, a family member, a friend, a celebrity, etc…there’s something about our lives we individually have that’s either admired or envied among one another. You’d be one liar if by the time you finish reading this paragraph, you won’t confess to yourself at one point or another wishing you had someone else’s “goods.” It happens all the time! I can present you with a list of folks whose lives I wish I had, and if I could (I won’t because I’m not an a-hole), I’d love to present you with a thread of folks who email me on how “lucky I am” because I screen films, or how “lucky I am...

Review: 'The Change-Up' Hides Formula Under Gross Humor
If you've ever wondered what Freaky Friday would have been like with toilet humor and frequent uses of the F-word, then The Change-Up is a movie for you.
For everyone else, once you get past the film's adult content - it definitely earns its "R" rating - what's left is a formulaic body switch thriller that even the generally likeable Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman can't raise above average.
The trailers for The Change-Up pretty much give you the gist of the film. Family man Dave Lockwood (Bateman) is best friends with unrepentant bachelor Mitch Planko (Reynolds). Both of them have things...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes,' 'The Change-Up,' & More
I was anxiously anticipating last week’s “Cowboys & Aliens,” hoping that it would effectively mix action and humor in the same way as director Jon Favreau’s “Iron Man” films. Favreau takes a more serious approach though, creating a stiff western that happens to include science fiction elements. While his idea is admirable, the movie is marred by poorly written dialogue and slow pacing. For more of my thoughts, check out my review.

Jason Bateman Gets High With The 'Millers'
"Horrible Bosses" star Jason Bateman is higher more popular than ever. Word around town is that the funny man du jour is in negotiations to star in the stoner comedy "We're the Millers."
The story follows a professional drug dealer who's dangerously close to hitting the big 30, and decides to perform one last (awesome) job before quitting the business.
Somehow, this scheme requires him to recruit a fake family to help him move 1,400 pounds of pot across the Mexican-American border. The family in question is, presumably, the Millers.

Charlie Day Steals The Show In 'Horrible Bosses'
It's often said that comedic acting is more difficult than dramatic acting, for various reasons. On one hand, it's a real shame that comedic actors are never recognized for their works with Oscars or other prestigious awards. On the other hand, so many comedies are so lazy (Adam Sandler's last five movies, for instance) that they deserve the derision and low reputation they get. All of this makes it all the more delightful when a brilliant, excellent, elevating comedic performance comes along; the kind delivered by Charlie Day in "Horrible Bosses."

Review: Who Knew A Trio Of 'Horrible Bosses' Could Lead To Fun And Laughs!
I don’t think I’ve ever recalled a moment where I’ve wanted to kill one of my bosses. Truth be told, I’ve been somewhat blessed with people I’ve worked for, however, I will say that on more than one occasion I’ve wanted to kill a co-worker! You know that whining little wuss or wench that can’t keep their trap shut for any apparent reason? Or feel a sense of entitlement to render their services based off conniving actions? Yeah! That’s the person I’ve wanted to kill more than once—along with some women I’ve dated—but that’s neither here nor there! Why? Well, because this of course is about S...

“Horrible Bosses,” a black comedy starring funnymen Jason Bateman, Charlie Day (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Jason Sudeikis, is about three friends who conspire to kill each other’s torturous bosses. Although it doesn’t premiere in theaters until July 8, I have already heard buzz about the film’s epic hilarity from people who have attended early screenings. In honor of the movie's release (that also boasts the comedic stylings of Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey, a brunette Jennifer Aniston and a beer-bellied, balding Colin Farrell), I’m using my powers of imagination for good and ex...

Jason Bateman: Greatest Career Resurrection Ever?
One of the biggest stars in Hollywood right now was practically living in obscurity 15 years ago. The second act of Jason Bateman’s career is almost as unbelievable as it is well-deserved. After a career-boosting (heck, career-reviving) role on Fox’s short-lived sitcom “Arrested Development,” Bateman has become ubiquitous in Hollywood comedies and pretty much synonymous with the passive-aggressive straight man character. This weekend, his new movie “Horrible Bosses” opens nationwide co-starring Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey. The cast, which mi...

For those of you who’ve been following me for a while, you might recall that I gave “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” a positive review. If you’re one of the people who read my opinion back then, you might be surprised to learn I really didn’t care for its sequel “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” At this point, Michael Bay is just repeating a tired formula that fails to entertain despite the introduction of 3D. Strike One for the clumsy title. Home run for casting Jason Bateman.
We're happy to see that Hollywood continues to acknowledge the national treasure that is Jason Bateman by giving him plenty of post-"Arrested Development" roles.
