'Rookie Blue' Season Finale Recap: Sam And Andy Finally Get Married

9/4/2015 10:05am EDT
'Rookie Blue' Season Finale Recap And Review: '74 Epiphanies'
The big news about the Rookie Blue season finale is that Sam Swarek and Andy McNally, after being off and on and off again and on again, are finally getting married. But there's more to say about "74 Epiphanies" too, including that threat of restructuring the office and whether or not this is the last episode of this show. If it is, at least it ended with a happy day for somebody.

Cases at 15 Division don't stop just because there's a wedding going on, though. Inspector Jarvis is riding hard on Traci because a murder victim is related to a prominent defense attorney who's sitting at Jarvis...

'Rookie Blue' Recap: 'Breaking Up The Band'

'Rookie Blue' Recap And Review: 'Breaking Up The Band' - Say Goo
Since everything we'd been waiting for happened during last week's Rookie Blue, this week's episode is centered around dealing with the aftermath. Whether it's office politics or relationship ones, "Breaking Up The Band" tosses in drama like some people toss a salad.

In case you forgot, Marlo had her baby last week, so this week Sam is on father duty. This once again makes Andy snippy, and she leaves him with the kid to go drinking at the Penny, where Juliet finds her. "We had plans, Sam and I," Andy tells Juliet, wondering aloud how she's supposed to marry her fiancee "in the middle of al...

'Rookie Blue' Recap And Review: 'Ninety Degrees' - The Baby Make
This week's Rookie Blue will forever be known as "the one where Andy delivered Marlo and Sam's baby." But other than that, "Ninety Degrees" can also be referred to as the one where Oliver gets his job back, and the one with a bunch of subplots in between. Mostly, though, this is about Marlo, Sam, Andy, the baby and what it means for the series should it continue to another season.

We're still trying to process the fact that Steve is a dirty cop, including Traci, who wants nothing to do with her now ex-boyfriend. Apparently it's been a while since the previous episode because Gail makes a r...

'Rookie Blue' Recap: 'Best Man'

'Rookie Blue' Recap And Review: 'Best Man' - Who's The Corrupt C
Rookie Blue continues to dig a deeper hole for 15 Division with "Best Man," in which the team tries to save Oliver from the web of corruption and someone else gets caught in it. This episode is co-written by Traci Nash herself, Enuka Okuma, and that makes it all the more almost painful to watch because of how it ends. And how you can't help but wonder what's going to be left off the team after this.

Hey, Noelle's back! Never mind that she's bringing bad news, telling Sam that Juliet is Internal Affairs and Oliver is the leading suspect in the corruption investigation. It's up to the newly ...

'Rookie Blue' Recap And Review: 'A Real Gentleman' - And Another
Traci Nash is once again getting kicked in this week's episode of Rookie Blue. After someone broke into her apartment in the season premiere, "A Real Gentleman" sees the culprit that got away come back for more. The episode is full of potential but winds up feeling like the plot was stretched a little too thin - or maybe didn't go far enough to be as great as it could've.

The cops of 15 Division are all coming together for an important raid that Traci is leading against a major gun dealer, but her big day comes to a screeching halt when she gets a mysterious message that she believes is fr...

'Rookie Blue' Season Six Premiere

'Rookie Blue' Recap And Review: 'Open Windows' - Not Back To Nor
Rookie Blue is back, and so is Andy McNally. The problem is, it's only been three weeks since the bombing at the end of season five - and new trouble germinates for Andy and Sam Swarek right off the bat, in the form of Sam's ex-girlfriend Marlo Cruz finally telling him what the audience already knows.

As if that's not bad enough, Andy gets an unpleasant surprise of her own when she agrees to head over to Traci Nash's apartment. Yep, these two just cannot catch a break in any way, shape or form. "Open Windows" might as well be re-titled "Open Wounds."

While Andy and Sam are wrapping up the...

'Rookie Blue': Missy Peregrym Previews Andy, Sam And That Bombsh
Rookie Blue fans know that Andy McNally and Sam Swarek have a lot to talk about when season six begins tonight on ABC, picking up three weeks after the events of the season four finale.

So to find out what's ahead for the fan-favorite couple, we went straight to the source: Missy Peregrym, who told us if Sam's news will threaten the renewed McSwarek relationship and how Andy's holding up after a fifth season that saw her struggle as a training officer and caught in an explosion. SPOILER ALERT!

Missy told us she was "shocked" when she learned that Sam's ex-girlfriend Marlo Cruz (a returnin...

'Rookie Blue' Recap And Review: 'Two Truths And A Lie' - Sam's F
Sam Swarek hasn't had a lot to do so far in the new season of Rookie Blue, so we're due for an episode that puts him back in the spotlight. And given that the series made a point of introducing Sam's estranged sister to us in the first few installments, it's no surprise that Sam's A-story also involves his family - namely, his ne'er do well father. It's time to get a big glimpse into what makes Sam tick.

Picking up where last week's episode left off, it's up to Sam to discover who killed Brian Gowdy, the man we previously just thought was in Costa Rica. Oliver thinks we're looking at "a se...

Ben Bass Previews 'Rookie Blue' Season 5: 'It's Been A Real Plea
Our favorite summer show Rookie Blue is back, which means that we can get answers to a lot of questions - the most important being what's going to happen to newly minted detective Sam Swarek. Thankfully, we have Ben Bass to ask about that. Ben joined us for a chat recently to discuss his reaction to Sam's predicament, what's ahead in Season 5, and adding yet more new faces to the 15 Division roster.

SPOILER ALERT - If you're not caught up through Season 4 of Rookie Blue, or absolutely don't want to know anything going into tonight's season premiere, stop reading now and come back on Thursd...

'Rookie Blue' Star Ben Bass Dishes on Sam's Promotion, His Relationship with Andy

5/30/2013 12:18pm EDT
Rookie Blue
It wouldn't be another season of Rookie Blue without Ben Bass. As the tough yet wisecracking Sam Swarek, Ben is at the heart of the show, and he's captured the hearts of the audience, too. BFTV recently caught up with Ben to ask him about Sam's promotion to detective, his changing relationship with Andy, and what he thinks would be Sam's happy ending.

"It took me three years to get used to the uniform and then they took me out of it. I was kind of disappointed actually," he commented with a laugh, referring to the reveal of Sam's promotion in the fourth-season premiere. "It was a bit of an...

Missy Peregrym Talks Changes Ahead in Season 4 of 'Rookie Blue'

5/23/2013 12:00pm EDT
Rookie Blue
TV's most entertaining cop drama is back! ABC starts airing the fourth season of Rookie Blue tonight, picking up not far from where it left the characters of 15 Division last summer. BFTV caught up with series star Missy Peregrym, who plays Officer Andy McNally, to ask how Andy has been since viewers saw her departing for an undercover operation, and if there's hope that Andy might get back together with ex-flame Sam Swarek.

When the audience reconnects with Andy in tonight's episode, "I think she feels pretty good about where she's at in her life," Missy told us. "She's been undercover fo...

This is my viewpoint, from the far end of the couch...and this week Starpulse has asked me to give you 10 outstanding TV shows that you're not yet loving, but you will.

With so many channels it's no wonder that a lot of great shows either slip through the cracks or don't get as much attention as they deserve. To help you find the series you might not know, I've compiled this handy list of programs you can check out right now.

My only criteria? They must be currently airing and able for you to tune into right now, be it first-run or repeats. (Therefore, cancelled shows are not eliglible, a...

Ben Bass On Preparing For More 'Rookie Blue'

6/15/2011 6:00pm EDT
Rookie Blue
Continuing our chats with the cast of ABC's police drama Rookie Blue, actor Ben Bass dropped by Wednesday to talk about what's in store for Sam Swarek in season two, and if not being the "rookie" on the show is all it's cracked up to be.

If you missed them, you can check out my earlier interviews with Rookie Blue stars Enuka Okuma (Traci Nash) and Missy Peregrym (Andy McNally).

Let's start with the basics: what are some of the things in store for Sam in season two?

There's more action. It's more intense. What goes on between Sam and Andy starts to heat up, even though Luke is in th...
