Spanish Stars Denounce Israel

Spanish film industry representatives have publish an open letter denouncing Israel and their recent actions in Gaza. The group, which includes stars such as Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, and Pedro Almodovar, asked for an immediate ceasefire to help civilians.

As referenced in The Hollywood Reporter, Bardem and others plea in the letter for Spain and other European Union members to condemn the bombing and to "open border crossings to facilitate the mobility of the population, the entry of medical equipment, medicines and food."

The Vicky Cristina Barcelona star is pregnant and due to give birth later this year, according to the New York Post.

The second trailer for James Bond film "Skyfall" has arrived. It shows 007 (Daniel Craig) getting shot and apparentely killed in a mission gone wrong. Naturally, he doesn't actually die. Instead he fakes his death, similar to Sean Connery's 007 in "You Only Live Twice."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are considering another movie collaboration in director Ridley Scott's new film, according to reports.

Deadline.com reports Jolie is interested in signing on for "The Counselor," opposite Michael Fassbender - and Pitt is now in talks for a role.

Spanish actor Javier Bardem is also in negotiations, according to the website.

The film will star Fassbender as a lawyer who dabbles with the black market drug business.

The pair famously fell in love on the set of their first collaboration, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," in 2005.

Berenice is a French actress who has starred primarily on TV shows in her native country.

Film execs recently scrapped plans to shoot a high-action train sequence in India. They chose to film the scenes in South Africa after negotiations fell through.

Spanish filmmaker Santiago Segura has let it slip that Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz plan to name their newborn son Leo.

The director blurted out the details during a recent press conference, even though Oscar winners Bardem and Cruz have yet to release the kid's name to the press.

Reports emerged late on Tuesday suggesting the Spanish beauty had been admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles earlier this week and gave birth on Tuesday.

But, according to Cruz's spokeswoman, the actors actually welcomed a son last week.

She says, "Both parents and baby are doing great."
