Wahlberg served 45 days behind bars for assault.

Tim Allen is known for family-friend fare like Home Improvement...

If you missed my interview with Fran Kranz and Kristen Connolly from “The Cabin in the Woods,” definitely be sure to give it a read. October 28th, 2011 11:00am EDT
The X Factor
Thanksgiving is a few short weeks away, and before you slice into those turkeys, let’s take a look back at the new TV shows that are thriving and those that don’t have a Thanksgiving prayer. We’ll break it down by category.

Modest Hits

(We would have had a full-on “Hits” category, but there are certainly no runaways so far.) FOX’s ‘New Girl’ can be deemed a first-season success. The Zooey Deschanel comedy was the first fall series to earn a full season pickup, and for good reason: Its ratings are better than lead-in ‘Glee’ and it’s frequently tops on Tuesdays in 18-49. To date it’s ave...

Gervais maintains none of the celebrities he poked fun at took offense, but he admits he may have upset Allen.

The remake of “The Karate Kid” starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, does not live up to the original, but it does effectively adapt the model of the story to a new setting. Jaden Smith’s character Dre, character is a bit more obnoxious and impatient than Ralph Macchio’s Daniel, mainly because he is younger though. As Mr. Han, Dre’s instructor, Jackie Chan gives a deep and nuanced performance, showing that he is a brilliant teacher despite his tragic past.

Day One: Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009 - Home Alone

When I was a kid, the magic of "Home Alone" was in what Kevin McAllister (Macaulay Culkin) was able to accomplish on his own. I found myself digging through my Playskool toy bins after returning home from the theater to see if I, too, could pull something like that off if situation cal...
