If you follow me at all on social media, then you know I live for awards show season!  During this time of year, there is always a lull between the SAG Awards and the Oscars.  And to be quite honest, I’m sick of discussing movies!  Luckily, the Grammy Awards swooped in and music took over tinsle town for a week long celebration. I was blessed to attend three amazing Grammy events, so here is my 2013 LA Grammy Party Roundup:

Whole Planet Pre-Grammy Benefit

I was absolutely honored to attend the inagural Whole Planet Pre-Grammy Benefit on Wednesday February 6th. Whole Planet Foundation was founded in 2005 and is a private, nonprofit organization established by Whole Foods Market.  They provide grants to microfinance institutions in Latin America, Africa and Asia who in turn develop and offer micro enterprise loan programs, training and other financial services to the self-employed poor.

The event which was presented by Sambazon and was held at the historic East West Recording Studios at 6000 W. Sunset Blvd in Hollywood.   And boy has history been made here! The studio which was recently updated by renowned designer Philippe Starck, is home to where legendary artists including Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys and many others have recorded some of the most famous songs in the world! The evening included performances by GRAMMY winners Ozomalti, and amazing artists like Meiko (who I adore), Venice, Stephen Perkins of Jane’s, Steel Toed Slippers, Native June, Raining Jane and Veronica Romeo.  The fantastic pre-Grammy concert coincides with Whole Planet Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign. Proceeds from the evening, went directly to the foundation to support its efforts to alleviate global poverty through micro credit and entrepreneurship programs in 55 countries around the world, including the United States. I signed some artwork which was later auctioned off.

On Friday I headed over to Paramount Studios for the Friends ‘N’ Family” 16th annual pre-Grammy party hosted by the music industry’s top executives.  FNF celebrates the year in music with one of Grammy week’s hottest parties. For the third year straight Friends ‘N’ Family benefited Rock the Vote, an organization whose mission is to engage and build political power for young people in our country using music, popular culture, new technologies and old-fashioned grassroots efforts.

FNF16 featured some incredible performances by Carly Rae Jepsen, Angel Haze, Melanie Fiona, John Martin, DJs Paul Oakenfold and more!  The atmosphere was super fun – people were playing ping pong, getting their shoes shined and there were tons of food trucks to choose from.  My personal highlight was meeting Nick Lachey – I love me some boy bands!

Justin Timberlake’s Post Grammy Concert

This was truly THE after party to be at!  With special guests Jay Z and Timbaland, my man JT brought the house down and made me feel a little bit better about how much I splurged on his tickets.

He brought sexy back!!  Justin seriously rocked the palladium with his band, dance moves, longer hair style and attitude.  He is the ultimate performer.  This show absolutely made me feel better about his upcoming album… and, I now like ‘Suit and Tie’.

Check out this highlight video I made:

And I have to give a huge shout out to my fabulous dresses!  The floral gown is by Aidan Mattox and the insanely amazing bright orange dress is Hailey Logan by Adrianna Papell
