10. Passage Du Gois, France

This road is passable only at low tide. It looks long and beautiful during the low tide; however, this 2.6-mile-long stretch of pavement runs through the Atlantic Ocean. Once the high tide hits, the entire road is submerged underwater.

9. Stelvio Pass, Italy

Looking downhill on this extremely steep road is often advised against. At a height of 9,045 feet, this pass climbs 1.2 miles over 60 turns that are almost 180 degree angles. It is easy to be captivated by the beauty of the Alps, but it would be better if you concentrated solely on the road and not the scenery.
